The UK BIM Alliance is delighted to announce a formal affiliation with the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA).
A membership organisation, BESA’s primary focus is to support and serve its members active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings. The UK BIM Alliance aims to ensure BIM becomes business as usual whilst transforming and future proofing the way Industry work. By working together, we can support the adoption of BIM across the building engineering sector to speed up the digital transformation of the industry, improve its production and project delivery processes.
Clare Watson, BESA Director of Marketing & Communications said: “After setting up our own specialist BIM Group within the association in 2019, joining the UK BIM Alliance is a natural next step for us. We are looking forward to engaging with our members to drive the development and shape BIM for our sector into a useable and manageable solution with benefits for all parties.”
Andy Boutle, UK BIM Alliance Affiliates Leadership Team, said: “We are delighted to welcome BESA to the affiliate programme. As their scope and membership covers engineering services across the design, construction, and operation of buildings this has perfect synergy with the full lifecycle of information management we are here to support as the UK BIM Alliance. We look forward to developing a working partnership ahead”
The Affiliate programme aims to bring together the professional institutions, trade associations and any other industry organisations to provide a consistent message and coordinated approach to digital transformation, working across silos to a shared objective.
